This program provides an inside look at an organic farm and an organic retail store and discusses the day-to-day challenges and rewards of working in this field. Organic farming includes a wide range of jobs in production, marketing and distribution.
Organic farming is a very competitive business, but for people with an interest in growing food, plus muscle power and brains, it can be a rewarding career. Many people in this industry grew up on farms, but there are also opportunities to start at an entry level and learn the business. @slowfinger2 I'm ... @slowfinger2 I'm curious about such an opinion. Isn't it practical to design a sustainable idea first and run with it? Anything that is sustainable can be expanded can't it?? But not everything that is expanded rapidly is sustainable.
The word ... The word Sustainable is a psycological endrun around your true wishes. A misnomer. It means to hold. To stay still. To maintain. What about improving and expanding the farm. Do you really want to stand still and not get anywhere? Stop using that word. It is a psy-op.
Try natural, ecological, permaculture, integrated, bio-ag, etc. I know the weeds don't sustain and neither does nature. She keeps? on growing, not sustaining.

Point is, whatever problems your neurotic mind my tend to gravitate to, they are nothing compared to the crisis this country, and its followers (the majority of other industrialized countries) are chest deep in.? I mean I know you had the urge to bust on this guy but it is people like him and farmer collectives like this that are our only change to decomission the corporate structure that seems to be status quo! I am a Native American (Lakota Sioux), and I get the bit about the stolen land ... but let me tell you something: There is not a committe of tribes in the U.S. doing anything like this.

Animals are ... Animals are property! Never ever give money to Humane? Society of the United States, ASPCA, etc.. They use rare cases of poorly kept pets to tug on your heartstrings for money. They then? use that money to OUTLAW animal use in any way. It's not only big? agriculture that's taking your rights away it is "animal rights" and you are paying them to do it!
If everyone set up ... If everyone set up a tiny gardein in their backyard with orgainc/sustainable systems.... there would be no world hunger or giant corporations? controlling everything....
